Robotics

Two of our robotics teams went to the Spark Invitational to compete for our advance to the First Robotics Into the Deep State competition.

Our Robotics club is Lead by Ms. Terry Alexander and run together with Lloyd Price (Mentor and coach from Intel), Carey McDavid (Mentor and coach) and Mr. Amador (Bilingual mentor and coach) with the help of some HILHI alumni (Luis Copado and Rafael Copado) helping with programming, planning, coaching, motivating and encouraging students.

Our team #13727 Juntos Unidos advanced to the semifinals during the competition and got awarded with the Design Award, we were pretty close to the state, and we are very proud of our performance as a rocky team composed of all Spanish speakers two of them ELD students and all of them doing robotic for their first time in their life!

Our team #12000 The automated skeleton was selected for the states during the Silicon Forest League tournament at HILHI on February the first and got awarded with the Innovate award.
