Destiny Bugarin Hillsboro High School Rotary Student of the Month

Congratulations to Destiny Bugarin, Hillsboro Rotary Club Student of the Month from Hillsboro High School. Destiny and her teacher, Sarah Cole, joined the Rotary at their lunch meeting so she could relay her experiences and receive her award certificate. Destiny currently serves as ASB secretary, and has participated in the Asian Pacific Cultural Club for the last three years. She is an Early Childhood Education ambassador, and in her spare time volunteers at elementary schools. After graduation, she plans to attend OSU and major in early education, with a goal of becoming a first or second grade teacher. Destiny is proud to represent her hard-working immigrant Filipino family. She has dedicated her award to them to celebrate their strengths, sacrifices, and journey, and also to her teachers who have supported her along the way.
