Every Wednesday, a report of all the books that have been checked out for 3 or more weeks is run automatically and sends out email reminders to either return or renew your book(s).

Fines
Your account will not be fined until the last day of school. After you have left on the last day of school and your overdue book is still not back in the library, the book is marked as lost and will be added to your account. This fine will follow you through High School and can keep you from graduating. If you bring the book back, the fine is removed.
You can pay fines to the Bookkeeper. If the book is overdue, but not marked lost, make sure to talk with me first.

Lost Books
If you can pay for the lost book, please bring your payment to the Bookkeeper. If you can not pay, please come talk to me in the library, or email me.

When is a book considered lost?
Books are considered lost when you know for sure that you will not be finding them anywhere, or when it's the end of the year and they're still not back in the library.

Holds Through Destiny
When searching through Destiny Discover on your phone or computer, you can log into Destiny using your regular school login. Once you have found a book you want, you can select the Hold button and I will see it on my hold list. When the book is ready for pick up, you will receive an email.

Holds Through the Librarian
If you are in the library and find a book you want on Destiny, that isn't in, ask me to add the hold for you.

Holds from Another School
If the book you are looking for isn't at Hilhi, ask me to check at another Hillsboro school. If the other school accepts your request to borrow their book, they will send it in about a week. You will recieve an email when it is ready for pick up.
